I noticed that we can attach files to a particular task. I am a bit concerned on the confidentiality control for this action. Are attachemts visible to anyone other than myself, even if the Todoist account is linked to a google account?
Everything on your account, including tasks are only available to you an no one else. The link with Google is only a way of signing into our service, nothing more.
We are also using one of the most secure cloud based server systems out there, Amazon Web Services, one of the world's largest hosting service trusted by many corporations. You can read detailed information about AWS' security measurements here: http://aws.amazon.com/security/
On our side, none of your data is ever seen.
My boss is highly concerned about having tasks stored on a cloud, even if it's the safest one, because of high confidentiality focus. Is there a way I could use Todoist on my computer without Todoist connecting to internet? Otherwise I would have to stop using it as he requested, and would be very sad about it.
If your computer is offline and stays offline at all times, then this would force our Windows desktop app to not sync the data to the cloud and keep it stored locally.
However, this kind of local storage is limited and although during normal online usage it's unlikely to hit the limit, if you always keep using it offline - you can hit the limit of approximately 500 actions that are not synced and after that, the oldest ones may either get lost or no new ones will be possible.
That said, unfortunately, we can't recommend forcing Todoist into permanent offline mode.
