Updating Karma - Let me sleep
Karma is a neat job. It does help me move forward. I never want to see it reduce! However, it reduces when I don't work (in the nights!). I hope Karma does want us to sleep :)
Perhaps decreasing Karma after mid-day is a better idea?
Karma should also motivate us to add new tasks to Todoist. Philosophically Karma should entangle us into the circle of task life, as does Karma (the original definition) entangles us into the circle of life!
Karma should certainly not reduce itself when you sleep. Please go to the Karma details and let me know for what reason did your Karma decrease? You will see red icons and can hover over them to get more information why you've lost points.
You also get Karma for adding tasks.
It says it reduced because I've tasks that are 4 days overdue.
Now I better understand how Karma works! Again, Karma - a neat job!
A feedback: Noticed that Karma is a linear function. I think it should bettered with a combination of linear and exponential functions; meaning if someone does not work for more than 2 days, his karma should decrease faster. Once he starts again, it should grow faster to motivate him to work more.
If your design time does approve it, I'll be happy. Forget me not though ;-)
Thanks for the suggestion. We are looking to continue improving karma and this is a great idea.
Seems like the Karma function has been updated, hasn't it?
Please clarify - what updates are you referring to? We might have indeed made some minor changes since your last post. If you're experiencing any issues with this feature, let us know.
No issues. Things are fine (except Inbox, anyways). I just noticed that the way Karma is being calculated has been modified, and that's what I wanted to clarify.
so i installed the chrome extension of todoist. it works fine except that the karma points are stuck at this one figure for like one month ago. it updates when i click on it, but when i close and reopen it, it is still stuck.
We are looking into the issues with Karma and hope to find a solution soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
