I have installed the win8 app,but I must set the proxy to Internet,so How can I set the IE proxy

Hello,

Please clarify, you are in an environment that requires a proxy to be used? You are un-able to get the Windows App to work?

I must use the proxy to the Internet in my work environment. I don't find the proxy configuration in the windows app.

ps: I have setted the proxy in the Internet Explorer

Hello,

Unfortunately, the Windows app currently doesn't have a separate proxy configuration, but we'll look into implementing it in the future. For now, you can use Todoist from your browser or through a variety of browser plugins and they will all have the same features as the stand-alone app.

The lack of proxy setting capability causes both the Outlook and Windows versions to be completely useless in many corporate environments.

This really is the only thing stopping me from becoming a paid Todoist user, and the browser version really doesn't meet the same needs. Do you have any ETA you can share on implementation of proxy setting? :)

Unfortunately we do not have a timeframe. We are working very hard on improving and fixing all the issues we have with the Windows & Outlook apps and hope we can accomplish it all as soon as possible.

Weeehooo, this actually works for me with a proxy (I just complained about the RC version not working in another thread - ignore that one).

The Outlook plugin also works for me now (but I don't know if the official plugin works, I've only tried the one supplied in this support forum).

Amen. This version FINALLY worked for me. Previously, after installatkion, I would get an hour glass and then nothing. The program never loaded.

The Ctrl-Alt-A functionality is a huge improvement for me and keeps me from having to find a browser tab when I need to enter a new task. Thank you!

Hi,
I have updated my app to v2.6.1.0 and now the app does not crash anymore when I'm behind our corporate ntlm proxy. Unfortunately even though the app shows its window and does not crash, nothing is displayed (it is just a blank window). If I connect outside our corporate proxy it does work as expected.

I have also verified that this unfortunate effect is actually due to our ntlm authenticating proxy. I tunneled the access to the proxy through cntlm (http://cntlm.sourceforge.net) which presents itself as a standard non-authenticating proxy to the application and handles the ntlm challenge for authentication. This solves the issue and let me work correctly with the app even when I'm inside our corporate proxy.

Should I also file this bug report somewhere else?

I am currently using an older version of chromium without any issues. I'll do an upgrade on Monday when I'm back at the office and report back to you.
