7 days & last x days

N

Hello

Is it possible to display at the top of the screen the next 7 days and the last x (e.g. 5) days?

At the moment, yesterday and other last x days are displayed at the bottom, which means you have to scroll down to see recently dated tasks, if you have many old dated tasks.

thanks

Hello Nomad,

Could you please clarify what you are trying to accomplish. If you are on the "Today" or "7 Days" view you will see all over-due items at the top of the list. Are you saying your overdue items do not show up on the top of the Today view, but on the bottom?

There is no search syntax for "last x days" at this time.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Thanks for the response. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

If I recall correctly, previously, when I displayed '7 days, overdue': at the top of the list/page, it also displayed Yesterday's tasks, and a few more previous days. (This was handy, as you could see those recent tasks that were overdue by a few days). For example, it used to look like this:

....
...
Yesterday
....
Today
....
Tomorrow
....
etc

But now it displays Yesterday and these other previous days at the bottom of list, which means scrolling through much older tasks (with dates). For example, it now looks like:

Today
....
Tomorrow
...
etc
....
x days ago
...
y days ago
...
.....
....
...
Yesterday
....

I'm wondering, did you recently change the way tasks are listed?

Thanks

Hello Nomad,

Yes, we've changed this per request as we've implemented the new search features recently (boolean operators etc.).

Overdue tasks are now no longer split into two sections: 1-5 days overdue at the top and 6+ days overdue at the bottom, but are displayed as one section.

You can decide whether you want all overdue tasks be shown at the top or the bottom by adjusting the query. If you search for (overdue, 7 days) overdue tasks will be at the top, but if you search for (7 days, overdue), they will be at the bottom.

Best regards,
David

Thanks for the further info.

I liked it the old split way! I assume it's not possible do display this way, even with the new search features?

Great support by the way.

Nomad,

Unfortunately, it's no longer possible to see the split display. However, you can have only overdue tasks from the last 5 days displayed at the top... if you complete the rest ;)

Best regards,
David

Oh, that will be a good incentive to clear my 100+ days overdue tasks ;-)

Thanks for the help.

Overdue tasks are not shown in the iOS version of "Next 7 Days."

Hello John,

We've released our brand new iOS app today and overdue tasks are shown in the "7 days" view. Please delete your current app and install the new version 6.0.

Best regards,
David

I am using the latest app (both iPhone and iPad) and it doesn't work. It'll show if it's overdue from today, but not from yesterday.

John,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this. When tapping on the pre-defined "7 days" view, I see tasks that are overdue by many days and also tasks for the next 7 days. Please try to delete and reinstall the app and see if it helps.

Best regards,
David

Hello Richard,

Right now we're not working on this so unfortunately we can't say when this query will be supported, but for now, please note that you can use "overdue" to view overdue tasks from any day in the past. After all, it may be better to see all of the missed tasks ;-)

Best regards,
David

I get that .... no doubt. It does not change the inherent desire to have
this capability. I suggest you get it on the roadmap at the very least.
Its doubtful that I will renew when my subscription is up without it.
