Process continues to run after closing program

DR

Occasionally through my day, I have to close todoist. But then I find I can't reopen it later. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit

When I check the windows task manager, the process is still running and there are two of them running. When I close the processes manually, then todoist will open again.

Hi Debra,

After closing Todoist from the Task Manager, please try clearing the cache for Internet Explorer, as this is how the app runs.

I know this is a simple question, but when is the last time you have restarted your computer? It could help in resolving an issue like this.

If that fails, please try un-installing the app, and re-installing the latest version from https:/www.todoist.com/windows.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I turn off my computer every night and start fresh each morning - as that solves a lot of windows issues. I NEVER EVER USE internet explorer. Only firefox or chrome. And I'm not talking about the online version, but the program as it lives on my computer.

Thanks,
Debra

Debra,

Our Application requires IE to work properly, and clearing the cache can fix issues like this. If your willing to give that a shot it might help :)

Have you tried the re-installing suggestion?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello Debra,

Please note that Todoist can be closed "to tray", that is - when you press the X in the top-right corner, it will still run and you will see the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray) so you can quickly bring it back or add a task with the keyboard shortcuts.

Best regards,
David

Aha! That's what's happening, it's closing to tray - so its still running. Thanks! Sometimes, like when on a skype call - you just have to close everything because skype is such a resource hog.

This should fix it.

Thanks
