DRAG & DROP FILES - NOT WORKING WHEN DRAGGING EMAIL ATTACHMENTS

JC

With the integrated TODOIST outlook plugin, the drag and drop does not work for files when dragging from an email attachment. Is there anyway that this works and maybe i'm not doing it correct? Most of the documents that i would want to attach to my tasks comes from incoming outlook emails. One would think that the plugin would allow a drag & drop from outlook. Can you advise?

Hi Jammey,

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the Outlook plugin. The Windows & Mac apps have this ability, but not the Outlook plugin at this time.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Dear Brandon,

your answer is wrong! I also appreciate to get this funktion fixed asap!

In the actual versions outlook plugin and ToDoIst Windows:
You still can attach files by drag and drop from an outlook mail !!IF!!
you first drop the file on the computer (desktop or another folder) and than
drag it again to outlook plugin or ToDoIst Windows and drop it there!

Then the dropped attachment is being loaded up and available in ToDoIst.

You need two drag and drop actions!!

So...

At the moment you have to use two steps which is really too laborious!

Please organize the short way direct from outlook to drag an drop to ToDoIst outlook plugin or ToDoIst for Windows, asap.

Thanks.

PS: This funktion must be getting implemented easy, because dragging from any other folder from the computer and driopping in ToDoIstr already works right now.
