.tiff file won't open in windows 7 app

TL

if i open a .tiff that i attached to a note using the windows app i just get a blank window. if i open it in the web app my browser properly asks me what i want to do with it...

is there some way to DL from the windows app or associate it with the right kind of viewer? .tiff is currently assoc. with windows photo viewer and it doesn't seem to like how the todoist app is handing the file off.

actually, i'm having the same problem with hyperlinks that don't use http/s protocol - they open in an empty window. when i "view source" via the context menu of the window i see it's a .txt file in my temp directory that contains only the following: "<html><head></head><body></body></html>"

Hello Tim,

I've been able to reproduce the issue regarding the TIFF file and I've passed it to the developers.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the second issue as every link that points to http is correctly opened in a new window. Please tell me what's the exact URL you've used and whether it was within a task's name or a note.

Best regards,
David

thanks for checking.

it's a URL that would only resolve on my local machine, but you should be able to test something similar. it is not http or https protocol but it is a registered and resolvable URL in the form of:

evernote:///view/7791132/s68/[trimmed]

it fails in the same was as the .tiff.

Hi Tim,

We are also aware of the ever note link issue, and are looking into it.

Thanks,
Brendon.
