I also have a problem with the Outlook plugin...

JM

The outlook plugin loads a blank screen in the Todoist frame. If I wait 4-5 minutes (doing nothing), it partially loads the Todoist web page login screen without images or styles.

If I click in that frame and reload it by hitting F5, it loads the web version of my project/task page (with the projects on the left and the tasks on the right) and I have to scroll frame to see the relevant portions of the screen.

I can provide screen captures if you need them. This has been happening for the past few days -- I am a new user, so I have only been using it that long.

I am on Win7 64bit and IE9 (I cannot upgrade to IE10 due to business restrictions). The plugin version is 2.2.0.0

Following your answers to other users in the past few days, I have done the following:

Cleared the IE cache
Uninstalled the plugin
Rebooted the computer
Cleared the IE cache again
Downloaded the latest version of the plugin and installed again

Can you help?

Hi Jim,

Please try re-installing .NET Framework 4 : http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=17851

Also, log out of the plugin, then re-install it while Outlook is still running. Please give those a shot and let us know if it resolves the issue.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

I tried to re-install the plugin with Outlook running, and it unintalled, but the install program threw up a message telling me that I had to close Outlook for the installation to proceed.

I am a .NET developer. This is my work machine, and I use the .NET 4 framework daily, so I am reluctant to try to re-install it from the link you gave me for fear that it will mess up my work environment.

A bit more info on my issue... after I open Outlook 2010, the Todoist frame flashes the TD logo for about 1/2 second and then goes blank. If I then go to the Add-Ins tab and click "Logout Todoist", the Todoist frame loads the login screen. I can log in, and it displays the Today screen.

Hi Jim,

Thank you for that information, we are aware of this issue and are working on it right now and that information will help.

For now, as a workaround, please install the earlier version of our Outlook plugin which should work fine: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/354a36dcf40f6dd891fafdb6d2b97716/as/OutlookTodoist.exe

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi,

I'm having the same/similar issue. The Outlook plugin worked fine till now.

When trying to log in it is loading (3 squares flashing symbol) without stopping.

I installed version 2.0 (of the link above). It throws it couple of exceptions but it seems to work now.

thx,
Paul.

Hi,

Version 2.0 was throwing too many exceptions. I re-installed version 2.2 again.

Unfortunately after entering username and password, it hangs while loading (3 squares flashing symbol).

Any help?

Thanks,
Paul.

Paul,

Please un-install that version, clear the cache for IE, and try this un-released version.

Let me know how it goes.
