Mac desktop app not showing up correctly.

My desktop application of ToDoist on my Macbook Pro is not showing up correctly. Rather than the simplified list with the projects on a drop-down menu and the line for each tasking being adjustable, it's showing up like the webpage with the projects on the left side and the lines on my list set to a wide minimum length. I liked being able to have my to do list take up about two inches on the side of my screen, and it's not doing that now.

Hi Christy,

Please try logging out of the application and back in again.

Let me know if that solves the issue.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Thanks for the quick response, Brendon, but logging out and back in did not solve the issue.

Hi Christy,

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this issue. Please try clearing the cache for Safari, and if that does not work a re-install could help.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I've reset Safari, and uninstalled and reinstalled the application, and neither has fixed the issue. If you have any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it, if not, I'll try again in a couple days.

Hi Christy,

Just to clarify, you have logged out through the TD icon at the top and then cleared Safari's cache? You can do this by clicking "Safari" on the top bar, "Preferences" and then "Privacy" and choosing "Details" underneath "Remove All Website Data" and searching for Todoist.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I logged out through the icon, uninstalled the program, reset safari, then loaded the todoist page, downloaded the program, reinstalled it, and logged back in.

Hello Christy,

Please clarify - when you say that you've "reset Safari", did you go into Safari's settings and cleared its cache or just reloaded Safari?

The Mac App is just a window using Safari's "engine" to connect to this site: https://todoist.com?mini=1 After clearing Safari's cookies and cache, the Mac App should redirect you to this correct URL as this is the only URL it uses when you log into it.

Best regards,
David

I clicked "Safari" on the top bar, selected "Resest Safariā€¦" and left "Remove All Website Data" checked and hit "Reset."

Hi Christy,

Unfortunately, we are un-able to reproduce this issue. I would suggest logging out of the app once more, clearing the cache for Safari again, and also doing a restart of your system, and in that order.

Did this start happening on a recent update, or could there have been something you installed or changed recently? Any information could be useful.

We will continue to look into this but without being able to reproduce the issue, it can make it hard to figure it out.

Thanks,
Brendon.

My computer was recently in for service and this was an issue as soon as I got it back.

I had same problem and I solved by Dvid suggestion.

1. Open safari and Todoist window.
2. Go to https://todoist.com?mini=1 on Safari
3. Drag the address from the address bar of Safari to the Todoist window. After that Todoist window refresh to the right address.

Bye,
Matteo
