Can you do more configurable default reminder? It's clearly has not enough functionality. It's needs same settings like tasks reminder.
Hello Dmitry,Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the default "30 minutes before" time for the default relative reminders, but we will consider adding such option in the future and you're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/298/Best regards,David
Another setting that would be helpful for default reminders that, if I choose in settings, any task I set a time on creates a default reminder.
Hello Timothy,This option is already available. If you have reminders turned on and a default reminder method selected, each task with a time will have a default "30 minutes before" reminder attached to it automatically. What you can't configure is the default delay - whether is should be 30 minutes or longer/shorter, but we'll consider adding such option and you're welcome to vote for it in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/298/Best regards,David
Actually, what is already available is not what I'm suggesting. You're correct that when I go into the reminders dialog it does default to the 30 minutes prior to the set time in the task. What I'm suggesting is, via a settings preference, just go ahead and set a reminder with my default relative reminder without having me to go into the reminder dialog when a task is set with a time. Save me some clicks when I've set a time on the task itself.
Timothy,That's exactly what I meant :) You never have to go to the "reminders" section to add the reminder manually, just set a task due "today at 6pm", save it and when you'll edit it, you will see that a reminder due "30 minutes before" has been added to it automatically. If that's not what you're suggesting, please clarify it based on an example. For instance, right now you can:- Add a new task- Set it to "every Fri at 13:20"- Save itAnd this task will have a "30 minutes before" reminder added to it automatically without any action taken by you in the reminders menu.Best regards,David
