New Update version of ToDoist not loading in Outlook

KB

Hi, I cannot get ToDoist to load in Outlook since I updated to the new version yesterday. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, closed down and rebooted my computer...but to no avail. Help!

Hello Karen,

Please clarify - do you see the Todoist plugin, but Todoist doesn't load within it or do you open Outlook and there is no Todoist plugin there?

Please make sure that you have the latest version pf Internet Explorer installed on your computer, clear IE's cache and make sure that if you uninstall and reinstall the plugin, Outlook is closed and the installer is ran "as administrator".

Best regards,
David

Hi David - ok, so you are speaking a foreign language to me, so let me try to explain what is happening.
When I open Outlook, the ToDo Ist window displays on the right hand side of the screen and shows 3 small boxes that look like they are trying to download the information. I'm assuming this is the Outlook Windows App?

Under my Start button in Windows, I have a ToDoist icon and when I click on it, Todoist launches. BUT, I can't add emails from outlook to follow up on, which I could before when ToDois launched right in Outlook.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help.

Karen,

So you have both our apps - the Todoist for Outlook plugin and the Todoist Windows app. The Windows app works fine, but the Outlook plugin is stuck on the loading screen?

If that's correct, please go to the "Control Panel" on your Windows system, then go to "Programs and Features" and here, uninstall "OutlookTodoist". Then, go to https://todoist.com/outlook get the installer file from there (save it to your computer), open this file to install the Outlook plugin and let me know if the issue persists.

This must of course all be done with Outlook closed. If this won't help, please tell me:
- What version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer (the Outlook plugin uses IE to connect)?
- What version of Windows are you using?
- Does clearing IE's cache help (to do so, open IE, go to Internet Options and clear browsing history there)?

Best regards,
David
