Todoist Versus Wedoist...

RE

Why doesn't Wedoist have all of the features of Todoist? Primarily, I like to be able to make multiple "subtasks" and drill down to lower levels of detail. Todoist does this, but doesn't allow collaboration, while Wedoist allows collaboration but not subtasks.

Am I missing something?

Hello Robbie,

Wedoist is a much younger service created specifically for team-based project management. Although you can't create sub-tasks like in Todoist, you can create task lists on Wedoist. If a project requires breaking it down to certain goals and these goals need to be broken into tasks, you can do so by adding lists for each big goal and tasks underneath which could represent the smaller steps required to achieve it.

Nonetheless, we're planning to integrate both services in the future as well as enable simple sharing of projects in Todoist.

Best regards,
David

That's great news David, when could we hope to have the project sharing feature in Todoist?

Thanks

Hello Arpad,

Although I can't give you any exact timeframe (as always, we want to make it work great before we release it), but it will certainly be out this year and actually sooner than you may expect :)

Best regards,
David

Some of us are going to hold you to that, David ;) j/k. I paid for Todoist premium and have been very happy with it so far, but frankly I've also been spending a lot of time looking for other services so that I can share projects/tasks with my spouse. None have come close to Todoist's ease and great interface, though, so I hope that the sharing feature comes out before I have to decide whether to renew my premium account!

Hello Jade,

According to when your Premium time expires, I can pretty much guarantee sharing will be implemented before then :)

Best regards,
David

Add me to the list of people anxiously waiting for sharing! My SO and I had been using Astrid prior to their Yahoo buyout due to the fact that we could share lists and/or items. Looking forward to being able to use my favorite platform to keep our household organized!

Another vote for sharing in Todoist. I've been using it for a while now and really like it but need to share joint projects with my spouse. To that end, I've just started messing around with Wedoist, but find its interface seems surprisingly limited and less nimble compared to Todoist's elegance.

If I could just do everything I can presently do in Todoist but share particular projects, that would be great!

Add me as another vote for this!

After astrid's demise, i've basically resorted to signing my account in on my partner's tablet so that she can edit my tasks directly.

It would be MUCH nicer to just share projects instead.
