Sub-Tasks in other Views

D

Hi! I write down my tasks as follows:

Project
-Client Name
--review forms (indent 1)

When I filter tasks, I get a lot of review forms and I can't see the parent task so it gets confusing.

Is there a way to see parent tasks in other views?

What can you suggest in my case to make it easier to identify similarly named sub-tasks?

Thanks.

Hello,

At the moment when you search for something like "review forms" it does indeed not show the parent task it is from. I will double check with the developers on this to make sure it's not a mistake, but you are correct.

As a solution, you can either search for the Parent task "Client Name" and see all the sub-tasks under it, or you can try to label your tasks and then search/filter for those labels.

Read about labels here: https://todoist.com/Help/viewLabels

Thanks,
Brendon.

When I search for tasks with no due date or filter, parent tasks don't show. It's kind of counterproductive when I have to add more labels.

Hi,

Yes we understand that and it's possible this will be added in the future. You can vote on it in our votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/626/

I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks,
Brendon.
