Michael,

If all goes well, there will be news this week about an update, and one available :)

Wow, please tell more! Is this properly integrated with the PostBox interface (something 1.0 is not...)? And secondly, how can one get notified of this new release?

Michael,

There are still some things needing to be done, but this week is the plan. Now I can't say much at the moment, but there should be media posts about it (at least that is the idea), and I will update this thread as well letting you know.

Though, I believe the current version should update when released.

Regards,
Brendon.

Michael,

I am looking into it with the team, I am not sure what is going on with the delay. Though this file should be an updated version. https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/4fd01b873df4a73688f5e90cadfc9fe0/as/Todoist_for_Postbox.xpi

Let me know if you have any issues, and I will keep you updated with the actual release.

Regards,
Brendon.

Ok, tried it out w/PB-Windows 3.0.9. It appears to be an update from 1.0 -- but also seems not to be the final version. A bit rough around the edges.

- the buttons at the top overlap each other (the + sign is on top of "filter tasks")
- the font size of "filter tasks" is much smaller than "99 completed" and vertical alignment is off
- the todoist frame does not respond well to being resized.below around 385 px (Windows), content gets cut off on the right
- the top of the todoist frame does not match the PB UI

I can post some screen shots if that will be helpful.

Looking forward to the final update!

Michael,

Thanks for the feedback, I will let them know about it. I figured it may have been a slightly older version. Again, I will let you know when I know more.

Brendon.

Michael,

Sorry about that. It was actually my mistake. We are launching Tuesday, and that was always the plan, I was just mistaken about it.

Sorry.

Brendon.

Michael,

Yes, tomorrow. Now I am worried there will be a problem, since I already told you last week by mistake lol

But no, it should be tomorrow. Sorry for the misinformation.

Regards,
Brendon.

Thanks! Just pulled this down. Looks good -- "task from email" is very cool.

But there are still some display issues, and some menu items don't work at all.

Where do I report issues?

Hello Michael,

Please either mention them here and we'll pass them to the developers or create a new thread. We'd appreciate your feedback.

Best regards,
David

Shame on you, Todoist! We thought better of you.

Firstly, I'm not going to do the QA and/or development work that Todoist is supposed to do. Nobody is paying me to do that.

Suffice to say that the supposed "new" Postbox add-on is nothing more than the Firefox add-on (which does work on FF) re-packaged for Postbox (which anyone can do in about 90 seconds).

Unfortunately your team did NOT take the time to actually get it working properly in Postbox. I can count at least 10 things that simply do not work at all and/or are just botched up in the user interface.

I'm not going to take the time to list them here -- again I'm not going to do your job for you.

What I am going to do is un-install the PB add-on.

If you guys ever get around to creating a proper add-on for PB that actually works, let us know.

Hello Michael,

We're very sorry to hear that :-( We work hard on making everything work correctly, test it under many circumstances, but unfortunately, sometimes some issues turn out after it gets installed on thousands of different computers by our users.

Of course we'll keep working on fixes, but what we don't know of - we can't fix. We did not place any bug into the app on purpose and released it bug-free to the best of our knowledge. We would greatly appreciate any hint to at least the direction if the issues you're experiencing are visual or functional and we can at least speed up the process of trying to find them.

Any hint you could provide would ensure that you'll get a fully fixed update ASAP. Without any information, we can't promise any fixes to issues we can't trigger at all :-(

Best regards,
David
