Connecting todoist Accounts
I am looking into choosing a todo list software for myself and my wife. I like your ToDoist product but I would like to be able to share projects between the two of us. I need to be able to make notes and attach files to a task. I also need to be able to have the ability to share tasks with my wife. For example, I see we need milk so I add it to our shared Grocery List and she is notified that we need milk. When one of us picks it up and checks it off, the other is notified that they picked it up. I know you have WeDoist, but this feature is not worth $24 a month for only two of us. I'd be happy to get premium accounts for myself and my wife at $58 a year vs. $288 a year for WeDoist. What are my options?
Todoist Premium allows you to add task notes and upload files to notes, but unfortunately it doesn't have a sharing option yet (we will consider adding it in the future, though).
Right now, you have the following options as alternatives:
1. Use the "Email tasks to this project" feature which will allow you to send a task to Todoist via email. This way, you can simply send a "Buy milk" task to Todoist.
2. Share your login credentials with your wife and you can both use the same Todoist account.
3. Upgrade your Todoist account to Premium and then create a new Todoist account which could be free and contain only this one shared project and you could share the login credentials of this shared account.
Please let me know when you add sharing. Until then, I'll have to use something else.
If you'll keep your Todoist account, you will receive a notification via email once sharing becomes available. We will also announce it on our Facebook, Google+ and Twitter channel.
Sharing option soon, please!
Yes for sharing options!!
Please add soon. I really enjoy the Todoist interface and speed however it's missing this critical sharing feature. It's tempted me to switch to other platforms however I am patiently waiting for now.
yes, I agree -- there are a number of weaknesses, but not sharing is at the top of the list -- if I find another more suitable platform, I will switch -- sure wish Yahoo hadn't killed Astrid - sigh
