I am getting a Generic Failure Occurred
what should I do?
Please tell me:
- Are you referring to our web-app, our plugins, desktop apps etc.?
- When exactly does this issue occur (when you try to log in, install one of our apps or extensions)?
- What browser are you using and can you reproduce this issue in a different browser?
I am also getting a "Generic Failure Occurred" error using the Windows desktop app on Windows 7 Pro. It occurs when I open the app. I can access my to dos on the web using the same computer.
I've tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling and still get the same result.
I am able to use the Windows desktop app with no problems on another computer running Windows 8.
I usually get a solution from support right away. Did you have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Please try to install the latest (pre-release update) version of the Windows app from here:
If the issue persists, try to log out of the app through the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray).
Also Danny, answering David's questions could help us figure out this problem.
I am using IE10. I get the error when using outlook not IE. When trying to login using IE it does not let me login in, saying I am using an incorrect user id or password, but if I go to your site and click on support and then login it works.
Sorry, I was replying to the emails. I get the error when I start outlook on my desktop pc
Please try to uninstall the plugin and reinstall this updated version which adds the option to logout on the add-ins tab. Please try logging out and back in again.
