DNS Name Not Resolved

PD

On both the Outlook Plugin and Windows App I am getting this message: DNS Name Not Resolved

I tried a lot of things but nothing works.

1. Flushed DNS
2. Uninstalled and installed latest Outlook Plugin and Windows App
3. Cleared all temporary files
4. Checked all proxy settings and I am able to go to http://todoist.com/?mini=1 on my IE and Firefox (While using proxy and without proxy)

Configuration
Win7 Enterprise
IE9
Outlook 2010

I am behind a firewall but it all used to work a few days ago with same configuration.

BTW it all works when I am not using proxy settings. But what confuses me is you say that Outlook plugin uses the IE proxy settings then if I am able to load Todoist fine on the browser then should this work?

Not sure what else I can try. Please help.

Hi Parmender,

Thanks for the detailed information.

Please try logging out, and back in again on both the plugin and windows app, while using the Proxy.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi,

If you started having this problem a few days ago, can I ask if you installed any new apps around that time?

I will look into this further.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello Parmender,

Please try to install the updated pre-release versions:
- For Outlook: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/82b87011c7a86df0809676bb96ebfa9b/as/OutlookTodoist.RC.exe
- For Windows: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/46df05282d620e14d9ddd8a60d813dad/as/Todoist_for_Windows.RC.exe

On the Windows app, you can log out through the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray). In Outlook, the updated version will have a "Logout Todoist" button.

Best regards,
David

Hello Helmut,

Please access the "Run" menu (Win+R) and type:

ipconfig /flushdns

and let us know if the issue persists. If it does, please tell me:
- What version of Windows are you using?
- What version (2007, 2010, 2013) and edition (32-bit, 64-bit) of Outlook are you using?
- Are you behind a firewall or a proxy?

Best regards,
David

Hi David - No luck. Still same issue.
Btw, both the outlook plugin and Win app work perfectly fine without the proxy.

I have sent the screenshots to david@doist.io. Not sure how do I find out what type of proxy it is. Our IT dept has set this up and I am not sure how do I find out.

Hi David,

The updated Outlook version worked like a charm. Thanks a lot.

But the Windows version is still having same issue as described above.
