new look

N

I loved when the projects opened over the tasks. Now TD takes up the whole window and if I make the window smaller I loose the text. Can you make it dynamic?

Hello Nina,

We have not made any changes to the design of Todoist recently. Please clarify what new look are you referring to.

If you're referring to the project view in our Windows app, you can dynamically change it based on the size of the window. If there's enough room for the projects to be displayed, they will be visible on the left side. If you make it smaller, you'll see the "Show projects" option again.

Best regards,
David

I try to describe:
I usually open TD in the smallest window size I can get in width because I need space for another window on the screen.
If I click on a project I get the list of tasks on the right side. Before when I clicked on a certain project it opened over the list of projects. So it was convenient to use a narrow window. Now I need to use the slider on the bottom to see the whole task on the right if I use the narrow window.
For me it is important to see which project the task is coming from and I need to copy text from the tasks, and now it is just not as convenient as it was before.
Is it more clear now? I think I use TD in a little bit different way then most of the people...

I think what you are describing--seeing a list of projects, when you click on a project, a project list is replaced by the tasks list. But you don't see projects and tasks at the same time, thus saving screen space.
On windows client it still works this way if you make the window narrow enough. Perhaps you client got corrupted and needs a re-install?

Excactly Alex. As you say. For some reason I can't see the tasks over the projects any more. Now the list of tasks apears next to the projects. This is my problem. I opened the TD with Firefox and then with Safari, but the same thing happens. Unfortunatelly I can't attache or place an image ( a screen grab) to show my problem.
