Bug with sub-tasks
Whenever I create sub-tasks they appear as duplicates in my 7-day view. In this view, they appear both as sub-tasks and as separate, additional tasks. This only happens in 7-day or today views; it does not happen if I view my tasks by project.
This is an intended behavior. In this view, we display all tasks that meet the search criteria, that is - are due today (for example). All tasks must be shown regardless of their indent level therefore sub-tasks are listed there as well (but without their indent level so you won't see them indented below any other random task that they're not related to.
When the parent task also is due today then it will also be displayed there since it meets the search criteria, but it will have an arrow on its left side to allow you to see its sub-task for reference. If these sub-tasks are also due today, then you will see them twice.
If this option would be locked, you could miss important sub-tasks by checking off a parent task. If we wouldn't display sub-tasks separately, on the other hand, you would have many other tasks on this list that aren't even due today just if one of their sub-tasks would be due today. Therefore, we found this behavior the most useful alternative.
Nonetheless, you're welcome to let us know how you would suggest to change it and we may consider doing so in future updates.
Thanks for your reply, David! That does make sense.
