I

How can I "import" ToDoist tasks via iCal to Thunderbird Lightning. I found instructions only for outlook...

I tried the following steps but failed:
in Thunderbird Lightning
File-> New-> Calendar -> Network -> CalDav
copy and paste the url for my ToDoist setting - but the tasks can not be synchronised with Thunderbird Lightning

Hello Ivonne,

Please try to use the iCalendar (ICS) format rather than CalDAV and try to add it this way.

Also, please use the Synchronize button and wait about 1-5 minutes to make sure that the calendar synchronizes correctly and you should see your Todoist tasks in your calendar.

Hi David,

I did it the way you explained and synchronised the calendar as well. I did not receive any error message but no tasks are being displayed still. What should I do now? Thank you.

Ivonne,

When you're viewing the calendar tab in Lightning, you should see two areas - the list of events at the top and the calendar itself. Please tell me - do you see any of your Todoist tasks even in the list of events.

During the attempt to reproduce this issue, after adding the Todoist calendar nothing happened at first, then the tasks were visible only at the top in the list of events and after a couple of minutes all appeared within the calendar itself.

Do you have tasks in Todoist that have a due date or due time? Please note that only these tasks are synchronized. Tasks with no due date won't be added to the calendar.

This feature doesn't seem to work for me as well. I have Lightning installed in Thunderbird and followed the instructions above to no success. Can you let us know if there is a fix for this?

Hi David, Thanks so much for the update. I have re-added the Todoist feed to my Lightning calendar. Works like a charm.
