Time for London changed?

Hello,

I had a recurring event set for many months now at 6pm. My timezone is set to London.

It just showed up at 7pm consistently, even though the task itself is set to 6pm. What's going on with the 1 hour difference?

Hello Pravina,

Please tell me:
- Did you at any time travel between time zones lately?
- Do you have the correct time zone set both in Todoist, and on any device you've been using Todoist with?
- During the recent change to Daylight Saving Time, did Todoist ask you to adjust your time zone at the top of the screen? If so - did you choose "Yes"?
- Does this issue occur in a different browser (or across all our apps/plugins etc.)?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

No

Yes - Europe/London

I don't remember this ever coming up. Is it possible to check on your side?
- Does this issue occur in a different browser (or across all our apps/plugins etc.)?
Yes - the Android app and the web.

thanks
Pravina

Pravina,

Please try the following (on the web-app):

1. Go to Settings -> General and change your time zone on Todoist to something else (GMT -6, for example).
2. Log out and back in.
3. Go to the settings and then you should see Todoist asking you if you want to adjust your time zone. Choose "Yes".
4. Log out and back in.

Now, please tell me - does the issue persist and what time zone did Todoist choose (it should select "GMT+1 London")?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I just did steps 1, 2, 3, 4. However, the issue is still there. For example, my standard event which repeats at 6pm every Friday is showing up as 7pm.

After looking at the settings - the timezone selected is GMT +1 Europe/London.

thanks
Pravina

Pravina,

Thank you for this information. Unfortunately, I still can't reproduce this issue (when having correct time settings on the computer and the phone), but I will pass it to the developers and I'll notify you if we make any progress or have any further questions. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Pravina,

After a thorough investigation of both our web- and Android-app, unfortunately, we can't identify any indication for such issue.

Please try to remove a due date from a task, save, and then re-add the date again and let us know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
David
