Project order of presentation when filtering tasks by tag

V

When filtering a tag the tasks are presented by project, but the project are not listed with a ascending or descending order. So I have task 1 to project A, then task2 to project B and then task 2 of project 1 again.

Hello Vanda,

Please note that the tag view shows results ordered by priority first, then by due date and then the remaining tasks that have neither a priority nor a due date are grouped by project. Do you see the label results differently? Are all your tasks without any priority or due date and yet not grouped by project?

If so, please tell me:
- Can you reproduce this issue in at least 2 browsers? If so - which ones did you use?
- Does clearing the browser's cache solve this issue?

Best regards,
David

Thank you for your quick reply David. I use IE 9, and I have cleared browser's cache, but it did not solve the problem. I'm using outlook version, and it still does not aggregate by project (even when no task has priority or due date).
How can I solve this? This is a really important feature to me.

I also confirm that In the Ipad app the organization of the tasks is correct and agregates taks by project.

Vanda,

We would greatly appreciate if you could confirm if this issue persists in a different browser, for example Firefox.

Also, please try to uninstall the Outlook plugin in the Control Panel -> Programs and Features (it's listed as "OutlookTodoist") and then download and install this version: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/354a36dcf40f6dd891fafdb6d2b97716/as/OutlookTodoist.exe and let us know if the issue persists. Unlike older versions, this one does not use IE within Outlook to connect to Todoist.

Best regards,
David

Vanda,

Please tell me - when you access Todoist through this URL: https://todoist.com/app?mini=1 using Firefox, do you see the correct order on the list? This is the URL that Outlook uses to connect.

Best regards,
David

David,
Using this url I see the correct order, but Outlook is still incorrect - how can I check this and correct the url that outlook uses?

Vanda,

Unfortunately, we're unsure how this could be fixed. The latest version of our Outlook plugin uses Chromium which is a browser engine similar to the one that the Google Chrome browser uses and it always connects to the URL mentioned before.

Please try to log out and back in through the plugin to see if it helps. If not, please tell me - how many incorrectly sorted tasks do you see? A lot or just a couple that are not grouped (even though they all have no priority and no due dates)?

Also, does setting a priority 1 to an incorrectly grouped task, then changing it back to priority 4 (no priority) solve this issue if you then reload the tag view in Outlook (using the sync icon at the bottom)?

Best regards,
David
