todoist + goog calendar

DG

Hi,

I'm using GOOG calendar intensively for planning all my tasks, however using two gmail (one for GTD and the other one for job) accounts hurts my time. So, I'm curious if todoist can help me solve this problem. The questions:

1. As I've understood, the app (both mobile and web) can add the task directly to the GOOG calendar if I'm using premium account. Am I able to sync the app to both gmail accounts and specify which account I'm adding the task to?
2. Does the app delete the task from GOOG calendar after I check it's done in Todoist app?

Hello,

If the "GOOG Calendar" software accepts the iCal feed standard then you can sync your Todoist tasks with it with as many accounts as you want (you can add the feed multiple times to other calendars as well). When you complete a task on Todoist, it will be removed from the calendar.

Please take a look at this short video showing how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE

Note - the changes are synchronized instantly in all calendar software except for "Google Calendar" which synchronizes them once a day.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

Thanks for your swift reply!

Actually, the "job calendar" actually is observed by supervisors and there's a weekly revision based on tasks. Is it mandatory that the task is removed or there's a way to switch off the option?

When is the specific time, when app syncs with GCalendar?

Thanks,
Dime

Dime,

There is no option to switch off the removal of a task from the calendar when it's completed. The changes are reflected immediately (except for Google Calendar).

There is no specific time when Google syncs their iCal feeds. It is beyond our control, but on average it's usually once in 24 hours, but these times may vary.

With Todoist Premium, you get access to the list of your completed tasks across all projects with their completion dates and you can print this list or make a screenshot if you need to send it for revision.

If you're working in a team and would like to have an overview of all completed tasks all in one place, invite people to projects, assign tasks to them, share updates or documents, we recommend our team-based project management tool https://wedoist.com

Best regards,
David

What's the difference between GOOG and google calendar? Such a bummer that google calendar only syncs once a day!
