Reminders Synchronization

When is TODOIST planing to synchronize the Reminders Dates/Time between the Platforms?
I know that is possible to setup them from the App using a menemonic: <remind me date at hour> or from the Web front end by selecting Reminders button, however this is confusing.
I mean if you setup reminders from the App we don't have a chance to know from the Web... or if we setup from the Web is not visible from the App. Ultimately this can lead to skip one important reminder!
Is this being planned in the near future: setup one reminder in one platform and being visible on the others?
Thanks

Hello Victor,

All dates, times and reminders should by correctly synchronized across all platforms.

Please note that the correct format to add a reminder within a task is <remind tod at 12pm> (without "me" in between). You can manage all reminders incl. those set via mobile by right-clicking on a task and going to the "Reminders" menu. Also, when you set a default way of receiving reminders (email, SMS or push notification), each time you use a time within a task's due date, it will have a "30 minutes before" reminder assigned to it automatically (also across all platforms).

Nonetheless, we will improve the handling of reminders in our mobile apps and it should allow you to see and manage existing reminders much better.

Best regards,
David

Do you have an expected timeline for a mobile reminder gui? This is the #1 reason I am disinclined to use the product or subscribe past the trial period. Reminders are crucial for me.

Hi John,

at least for absolute reminder times there is not much of a GUI on the web either - you still have to type something like "tod at 12pm"; the only real difference is that the web offers a seperate inout field, whereas on mobile you have to type it straight into the title (which - by the way - you can also do on the web).

Andy

Thanks. I tried that and it wasn't a good user experience for me. I prefer to make selections from a visible calendar. It takes less attention and my choice is more informed.

Hello,

@John, we've implemented it already in our internally tested alpha builds of an upcoming version of the app, we're unsure when exactly it will be ready for release, but we're working on it every day.

@Andy, there is an interface on the web for reminders. Right-click on a task and choose "Reminders" from the context menu to see it (it still requires to type in the date/time for absolute reminders, though).

Best regards,
David

Great. While you're at it, please consider how tedious it is in the web interface to always setup multiple reminders. We have to save the task and go back to the gear setting and then repeat for each type of service. Ideally there would be default reminder settings and a more robust edit screen while on a task.. At the very least, you can add an option in the Service dropdown for "mobile & push" in one shot and perhaps make the gear visible while editing.

John,

We'll consider improving the web interface too. Please note that there is a default reminder setting and if you add a task that has a due time, it will automatically get a "30 minutes before" reminder regardless of whether you add an additional reminder to it or not.

David

I saw that. I'd like to be able to adjust that "30min before" as well. I usually default to "5min before".
