Also, how do you create them? Is it just the indent feature? Thanks
Hello Jeanette,Yes, it's the indent feature. Parent tasks are at a higher level, child tasks are subtasks.Best regards,Andreas
...and a task that is a child of a child is a grandchild task ;-)
Hi, I am not able to create subtasks, could you please describe how to to it? If I follow the instructions in other topics I am not successful, I don't see the option to indent a task :-(Thanks,Lars
Hello Lars,Please follow these steps to create a subtask:1. Click on a project from the left side to view tasks in this project.2. Click on "Add task" at the bottom of the task list in this project.3. While the input field is open, click on the arrow icons on the right side of this field or use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+RightArrow or Ctrl+LeftArrow to indent/unindent a task.Same applies to projects. As you Enter or edit the name of a project, when you have the input field opened, you'll see these arrows. Note - it's not possible to indent tasks when on a search result page (today, 7 days etc.) only within a project.Best regards,David
Thanks!I had tried from the search results, this didn't work out as you explained. Anyway, I feel the behaviour is inconsistent, even in a project view adding tasks with the + obove right doesn't bring up the arrows...
Lars,The Quick Add feature indeed doesn't allow indenting because when you're adding a task through this window, you won't clearly see where the task will be added exactly so you would add a sub-task somewhere below a different task which may be completely unrelated. That's why this is only possible during the "regular" task adding process in a project where it's clear where you'll add the task and how the structure will look like.Best regards,David
