Windows app BUG

E

Hello,
I just subscribed the premium version and the first thing happened to me is a nice bug on the Windows app. :)

On that version I looked for something in the "Guide" about Labels and now I cannot go back. Everytime I open the application, the sw is on that page.

I also disintalled the app and reistalled but always the same.

Fortunately the Chorme versione and the mobile one still work.
Can you help me to solve taht bug?

EC

Hello,

We're sorry for the inconvenience. You can get back by clicking on the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray) and choosing the Logout option. After you log in, you'll be back at your default start page.

We've addressed this issue in our new update which will be published soon, but you can get it already from this location: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/a01d792492bb116b58cc8f25d3ceac2f/as/Todoist_for_Windows.RC.exe - it adds a "Home" option in the system tray menu so you can get back to your default page right away without having to log out.

Best regards,
David

In the Windows app, there is no "Logout" option clicking on the TD icon (I can send you the screenshot).

I tried to logout in the chrome version, but it doesn't change anything in the windows app.

The New version I downloaded from your like, return me an error after the installation. So I stuck...

Please take a look at this screenshot showing the menu available through the TD icon in the notifications area: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/c8190e62fce85a52f3dcf663c402968d/as/td_windows.png and let me know if there is anything different than what you see when you click on this icon. You can send a screenshot to david@todoist.com

Regarding the new version - if you're experiencing this issue after you've uninstalled the old version, please let me know what exact error does it return.

Best regards,
David

David,

I have also run into this issue multiple times. I just downloaded the Todoist Windows app yesterday, and I've hit this screen about ten times. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. Thank you for your tip to log out. But really...it shouldn't happen. It's terribly inconvenient and troublesome, especially when I'm using it all day long for multiple tasks and projects.

One thing I noticed is that if you hit the backspace button while the window is open, it will go back to wherever you were. But once you close the window completely, it will be stuck wherever you last were. Oi...frustrating.

So, it's still happening. Grr.

Hello Erin,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience and we will of course fix this as soon as we can and release an update. For now, please note that you can also use the "Home" option from the menu in the notifications area instead of Logout and this should also bring you to the correct screen.

We've identified what is causing this issue and it's triggered when you use a link through the Todoist app so, for example, if you go to the help page in Todoist so that the new window opens, you may get stuck on the full web-app afterwards. Again, we're working on it and it will be fixed soon.

Best regards,
David
