On my Mac, Pressing Enter does not add a new task below the current one !

AG

I have no way to enter a new task below any task right now. The keyboard reference says Enter will append a new task below the current one. But on my Mac, it just saves the current task without creating a new one.
This is extremely annoying. Is this a bug ?

Hello Ashish,

Please clarify - are you trying to:
- add a task using the "Add task" link at the very bottom of the list
- or right-clicking on an existing task and choosing "Add task below"
- or clicking on a existing task to edit it?

In the first two cases, you should indeed see a new empty task input box opened upon clicking Enter, but in the third case, when you start with editing an existing task, only the changes will be saved and no new box will appear unless you use the Shift+Enter shortcut.

Best regards,
David

Thanks - this works but is not mentioned in the Keyboard reference.

is there a more complete keyboard reference that I am missing ?

I would also say this behavior is confusing because Ctrl + Enter appends a task above regardless of "Add" or "Edit" Mode. So that ambiguity does not exist for adding task above (which I claim is a less common operation) but it does exist for adding a task below in a pre-existing list which is a very common operation.

Ashish,

We will soon publish a new detailed help section with better documentation of all our features. Right now, you can use Ctrl+Enter to save a task anywhere and add a new one above it or Shift+Enter to save a task and add a new one below it. Enter alone works as Shift+Enter only when you're adding new tasks. Again - we'll have a much better documentation for Todoist soon. Sorry for the confusion.

Best regards,
David

Thanks - overall I am enjoying the product and it is well thought out.

Is there a way to request features ?

For example, I would love to be move and re-arrange tasks without using the mouse! I can indent them left or right but not move them up and down using the keyboard. This makes using the mouse very slow and annoying for basic operations.
