Make Karma go away

K

I paid for ToDoist, do not care one bit about this "karma" crap and don't want some red icon in the corner of me screen. Tell me how to make it go away.

Hello Karen,

We're sorry for any inconvenience it has caused you, we'll consider implementing an option do disable this feature.

For now, please note that this system doesn't affect any of Todoist's existing features, no other changes have been made to out app with the introduction of Karma.

Best regards,
David

I also would like not to be distracted by "Karma." Please add the option to disarm this annoyance. Otherwise, this is the coolest todo app out there and I paid for premium.

BTW, for self-motivated people who just want an uncluttered way to keep track of what they need to do, Karma is somewhat patronizing and paternalistic. I know your heart is in the right place, but you're in the todo business, not the motivation guru business.

Best,

Hugh

I actually think it's a cool feature, but again, that's just me. :)

Also note that after you level up a few times, you won't see any red icon anymore. You can see a cool green one instead. =)

Please add option to disable karma asap. It is a distraction and not a philosophy I agree with.

What a shame to spoil this excellent app with this.

I'd like to be able to turn it off, too. It is not the mentality I need in my to-do list.

Second Martin, hugh, Karen's points.

I suspect the karma system is going to be actively unhelpful as soon as I have a bad week and start avoiding todoist because I don't want to look at my karma score. I do like it as an option, but please, make it optional. Thank you.

Hello,

We've implemented an option to disable Karma. You can go to the Settings -> Account and turn it off from there. After you refresh the page, you'll see the old "# Completed" count.

Best regards,
David

Karma's good. But not in my task list, please. Thanks for option to choose.

Thank you for giving the option to disable. I know I'll find myself trying to game the Karma system if it's there to give me hell that it took me until the next morning to get something done.

Thank you for the option to disable. As someone who feels less "enlightened" when I spend more time glued to my task list, I was looking for less irritating options.

Agreed; thanks for providing the option to disable/hide Karma from the main Todoist interface.
