New tasks not being displayed

I'm doing a review of different TODO apps. Todoist looks very nice, except that it doesn't seem to work.

I added a new project, and several tasks to the project. Though the project says "5" (indicating it has 5 tasks), none of the tasks showed up when clicking on the project, or when clicking "more --> view all projects." They DID however show up under "more --> Tasks with no due date."

Refreshing the page fixed the problem, but I'd rather not risk losing my tasks if it happened again. It doesn't seem to happen now. Is this just because I had a rather old account with an old task leftover? Or is this a known bug? Can it cause me to lose any data?

Hello,

We can assure you that there is no mechanism at Todoist that can cause you to lose your data except for one - deleting your account and confirming the deletion with your password.

It is possible that this glitch might have been caused by the fact that an older cached version of your tasks has been stored in your browser. Depending on how long you've had your account, there have been many new changes in our app incl. a full HTML5 rewrite for offline access and if there was something cached from an old version, it could have caused this.

Also, at some point, we've implemented better version control and the app should now always redirect you automatically to its latest version to prevent such things from happening, but again - it has no affect on your data, it's stored securely on one of the world's largest hosts (Amazon Web Services) and you can access it anytime through any platform (browser plugins, desktop clients, email clients, Android and iOS app).

Nope, this is a completely new computer.

I suppose I should have mentioned, I'm running the latest version of Firefox, Windows 7. Using the website, not the browser plugin (if there is one).

Also, please tell me - are you using any ad- or script-blocking plugins that may in any way affect any dynamic web-applications?

Thank you for this information, please try to add todoist.com on the whitelist of these apps as it is possible that they may accidentally block our app thinking it's advertising.

Well, as I said, it only happened when I first logged in; since refreshing the page, it hasn't happened again. I will let you know if it happens again, and/or I figure out how to reliably reproduce it.
