House data internally

JD

Is there a way to host this application on our own servers? We are an Insurance company and the tasks/attachments we create are sometimes to vital to our business. We love your platform however we are not in full control of our data. Is it possible to work something out so we can redundantly store all our information locally?

Hello Jeff,

Unfortunately, it's not possible. We can assure you that all data is being stored according to the industry's highest security standards on the world's largest and most trusted host - Amazon Web Services. You can read more details about Amazon's security standards on this page: https://aws.amazon.com/security/

Best regards,
David

"...redundantly store all our information locally?"

Jeff, David, For storage (not hosting) what about using the API?

From https://todoist.com/API/help/sync

"Todoist Sync API v2 makes it easy to retrieve and sync data. It's great if you want to implement a client that stores all of the data locally."

Hello Mark,

The reference to the API which "(...) stores all of the data locally" means that it allows offline accessibility by storing your data in your browser's cache and sync it later, but at some point the data will have to be synchronized (stored online) due to the limited capacity of the list of recent changes in HTML5 local storage.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I use the sync and standard APIs programmatically to pull down project data for local processing. Not an interactive client, no browser involved. Data isn't changed nor synced back, just stored locally -- effectively a backup copy of the project data. The Todoist world is a joy.
