Hello Madushan,

Please tell me - was the task you've completed a parent task? If you complete a parent task, the whole task structure, that is - all its sub-tasks, are also completed.

Please enter the project in which these tasks originated and click on the "Get completed tasks" link at the bottom. If you haven't used the "Delete completed" link, all your completed tasks should be there and you can un-complete them by clicking on the checked boxes next to them.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

Thank you for the reply.

Those were not parent Task, as a matter of fact, I still have the parent task and that (Parent task) is all I have now.

I tried to 'Get completed Tasks' as suggested but it only shows one task, that I completed while ago nothing else.

I'm positive I didn't click/use the 'Delete completed' link.

Thank you,
Madushan.

Medushan,

Please try to click on the "Get completed tasks" link multiple times as it sometimes loads only a few completed tasks upon the first click.

Also, try to log out and clear your browser's cache. If this won't help either, please tell me:
- Did you completed these tasks from within their projects or date views?
- Did you check them off through the checkbox or did you at any time use the option to multi-select and postpone (or maybe "delete") then at once?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I tried clicking 'Get Completed Tasks' multiple times even after I clear browsers cache. Didn't work.

1). I completed them within their projects, not in date view.
2). I used the checkbox in front of each task. What I did was I checked to complete a task then close my browser tab where todoist was open, then when I came back, all my tasks were gone for that project.

Thank you,
Madushan.

Madushan,

Please try to access your account through this URL: http://todoist.com/m#showLogin and let me know if these tasks are also gone there.

Best regards,
David

Yes it's the same this over there, i.e. just the main project header.

Madushan,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, but we can't reproduce this issue and we've checked the error logs on our end and there were no error related to your account at all or any unusual completion events of multiple tasks or deletion of any tasks.

Are you certain that you're using only one Todoist account and haven't logged into a different account and that no one else ever had any access to your account?

Best regards,
David

Your error logs are correct, I mean i didn't delete any of my tasks just completed two tasks by checking the ckecbox.

And that's what's so strange about it. It's just my to dos are gone, like hidden.

I only have one Todoist account w/ you and nobody else uses my account.

Madushan,

We've also checked our logs for completion of tasks or any other actions incl. disappearance of tasks, moving tasks etc. - there was no such activity.

Please tell me - how many tasks do you have on your account currently and how many did you have before this happened (approximately)?

Best regards,
David

I have all the Main Task Headers (7) in tact and I'm missing sub tasks of a one particular Main Task. All the other Main Task Headers and their Sub tasks are there as well.

In this one Main Task, I only have one Task and when I click 'Get Completed Tasks' I get another completed Task. So altogether I have one open and one closed Task.
I wanna say, before I probably had close to twenty open task not too sure about how many closed tasks.

Hope this answered your question.

Madushan,

Please clarify - when you talk about "Main Task Headers" are you referring to tasks, that is - items on the right side of the screen or projects - items on the left side of the screen? Also, did you by any chance delete a project? Please note that deleting a project (on the left) also deleted the sub-projects below it.

Best regards,
David
