Changing Amount Of Tasks Due

Once again, this will be the third time I have had to post here about this problem.

My Chrome extension is displaying the wrong amount of tasks. I have 13 due at the moment for today, after I click on the extension, after a bit it will change back to 0 due. I will have to click on it for it to show the correct amount.

3 times this has happened, each time I post here, you guys do something and tell me to clear the cache for it. I cleared the cache for the extension and it made no difference.

Please help, please figure out why this keeps happening.

Hello Brendon,

Please clarify - did you clear the cache by going to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data and removing todoist.com from this list?

Clearing the entire cache automatically will not remove some app data, therefore this process must be done manually.

If you did so and it doesn't help, please tell me:
- Do you have the correct time zone in Todoist's Settings as well as on your computer?
- Did you always have the correct time zone or did you ever use Todoist while having a different time on your computer?
- Please try to add 1 test task that's overdue (set its date to "yesterday") and let me know if when this issue occurs, you will still see the count going to 0 or will it show 1?

Best regards,
David

Yes that is how I cleared the cache, that is how I was told by you guys last time.

The correct timezone is there, and has been like that since I started using it.

I just added an overdue task (yesterday), and it is now showing me the correct amount, 13 (which is what I have due today). How does that make any sense?

Actually, after a bit, it did go back to 0.

It is now also not showing me my tasks when I click on it.

Brendon,

Please clarify - when you click on the Chrome extension icon, it is now not showing any of your tasks and you see a completely blank window inside the extension?

Also, please tell me - what version of Chrome are you using and what version of our plugin are you using?

Best regards,
David

Brendon,

Please send a screenshot showing this issue to david@doist.io

Unfortunately, we've had certain reports of some issues with Chrome on Linux which unfortunately, we couldn't reproduce anywhere else.

Also, try to disable all other plugins on your browser and see if then any of these issues also persist.

David

Clearing The cache returned it to normal.

That does not solve the other problem.

Brendon,

Please tell me - does the issue with the incorrect task count persist after disabling other plugins? Also, are you always logged into Todoist on Chrome or do you log out after each session (or are cookies or cache cleared automatically each time you close the browser)?

Best regards,
David

It's always logged in, I also have it logged in on an Android phone and a tablet. I also boot into windows, and have it installed in Chrome there.

Yes it persists.

Brendon,

When you observe this issue for the next time and see a "0" as your today's task count while you're certain that there are tasks scheduled for today, please go to this location: http://ext.todoist.com/Agenda/getCount as soon as this happens and let us know what will you see there (paste the text here).

It has happened again, but this time it shows ??? instead of 0.

I went to that link and got this.

Forbidden

{"priority1": 0, "priority3": 0, "priority2": 0, "today": 0, "overdue": 0}

Brendon,

It only shows ??? if you're not logged in to your Todoist account and this also causes the URL to return "Forbidden". Please retry after logging in and seeing a 0 count while there are tasks due today.

I am logged in. When I click on it, it shows my tasks.

Brendon,

Please clarify - after you click on it, it changes back to you correct task count or does it still stay at ??? and then, when you go to this URL after opening the extension, you still see the "Forbidden" message and {"priority1": 0, "priority3": 0, "priority2": 0, "today": 0, "overdue": 0} ?

After clicking on it it changes to the correct amount. When I do that, and follow the link, still provides what I showed.

I am also having this issue with the Chrome Extension (Mac OS X). I am logged in, but the count shows up as '???' until I click on it. Then it shows my tasks, and the correct count....until a few moments later when it goes back to '???'
