What's going on?

I use todoist through the iPhone and Mac apps. I know the issues with the iPhone app are supposed to just be waiting on the Apple Store to approve another update, but I'm now having issues with the Mac installation and the webpage.

The Mac installation simply doesn't load. For a couple days it would load as Facebook rather than my todolist, and now it simply stays a blank window.

On the webpage, things are showing up on the wrong days and not registering as done when I check them. The box looks checked, but when I reload the page or close it and open it later, they're back.

I used to love todoist, but the past week it's been useless. What is going on?

Hello Christy,

An update of the iPhone app has been released on the App Store today.

Regarding the Mac issue - please try to click on the dock icon and choose "Logout", this should redirect you to the Todoist login screen.

Regarding the recurring task issue - please tell me what's the exact due date of this task. Such behavior normally occurs if a task has a date that's not supported by Todoist.

Best regards,
David

When I open the todoist app, there's no logout option on any of the menus, and the screen is completely blank. None of the right click options include logout either.

The due date of the task most messed up is "every Tuesday" and it's showing up on Wednesday. It also used to have a time, but that's not showing up and I cannot remember if I removed it at some point or if the program deleted it.

Christy,

Please try to use the logout option on the Mac app as shown on this screenshot: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/cb504d49b35d4d5e6d62497eea81ed3a/as/Screen+Shot+2012-12-17+at+2.32.43+PM.png

Reg. the faulty task - "every Tuesday" is a correct due date. Please tell me, how exactly does this issue occur? Do you try to complete this task on the "7 days" view, within a project or from a different search result page?

If it shows on a different day, do you have the correct time zone selected in Todoist and on your computer? If so - did you use the "do it today" option on this task in the past?

Best regards,
David

The logout option worked and the app seems to be working again.

It was showing up both in 7 days view and in the project as being set for wednesday, and I had not use the "do it today" option on that task, but the time zones are an hour off from traveling. Will an hour time zone difference regularly mix up the days? I'm just wondering if I need to be more careful to reset it; I would have thought it would just throw my time-specific tasks off by an hour?

Christy,

Unfortunately, the date has most likely been changed due to the time zone change. This is a bug that we're working on right now and we hope that we can implement a permanent solution for time-zone related issues soon as right now even a 1 hour change may affect the due date of a task.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, for now you could try to always adjust Todoist's time zone in the Settings as you travel and let us know if it helps. Note - changing this will not permanently change any time of your existing tasks, it will only display the time on them differently to adjust the delay.

Best regards,
David
