enhancement for quick add task

PG

i using the input ime typing the task to todoist. By type the english keyboard, then the ime change it to Chinese character to input column.

when i type wrong things, the most people default way is type "ESC" to cancel currently word(not all the input). But, for quick add, it will cancel all the things. Another input, from the adding note for task, "ESC" will popular one dialog to ask if need cancel or not?

i just wonder if the todoist can has same program behavior as note add of task, to show confirm dialog before missing...

Hello Peter,

The ESC key allows you to quickly close the input field and therefore delete what you've typed into it. The standard for the deletion of one work or a selected text is the DEL key. Please clarify - are you referring to the DEL key? Does it close the input field for you?

Best regards,
David

no, only for esc for cancel the ime input if i found something wrong, in first type key of one string during the input.

the esc key not only cancel currently ime input information, but also for whole quick task information(which i type before)

Peter,

Unfortunately, we can't disable the Esc shortcut from closing the input field. It's a crucial shortcut used by the majority of our customers to quickly and easily close the box.

Please tell me - does the DEL key not work if you want to remove just one character? Also, does Backspace not work either?

Best regards,
David

I have tested that, for add note for existing task of project.

when "ESC" key has been triggered,
1, if nothing in input column, the whole note dialog will closed directly.
2. if something has inputted in column, one notice dialog will show "are you sure you want to cancel your current note?" for OK/ Cancel choose.

i just want the quick task added with same behavior like this. TO RESPECT people already input.
