Outlook 2007

I installed Todoist in Outlook and it was working, but now it will not open again. The "Add to Todoist" button in still in the menu, and I have removed and reinstalled the program - any ideas why it will not launch now in Outlook?

It is working in my Firefox browser and iPhone - so the account is ok

Thoughts?

Hello Bill,

Please go to Outlook's Trust Center, find the "Add-ins" options, click on "Go" next to "COM Add-ins" and check the box next to "OutlookTodoist" to reactivate it.

We will address this issue in the upcoming update of our Outlook plugin which should be available soon.

So I went to the trust center and it was there, and checked - I removed it from the trust center, uninstalled it from my laptop, rebooted and reinstalled it.

Now it opens in Outlook but is completely blank and does not show anything - I have moved and resized the window as well - so not sure what is happening.

Any thoughts?

The reason I chose this product to use was the window in Outlook so kinda bummed it died

Bill,

The Outlook plugin always uses Internet Explorer to connect to Todoist, Please make sure you have the latest version of IE installed on your computer and also try to put todoist.com on the list of trusted sites in IE's settings.

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue, but we're close to a release of the new update of this plugin which will solve this issue.

Ok - so I have changed default browsers on my system to IE 9.0.13 and added as a trusted site.

Still not opening in Outlook - so I am going to download, reinstall using IE and see if somehow that makes a difference

Anything else I could try?

I uninstalled Outlooktodoist and rebooted laptop

Then I reinstalled from IE 9 - with trust established in both programs

THe window now appears in outlook - but it is just a large white object with nothing in it

?

Bill,

Please try to:
- Right-click within the Todoist plugin pane in Outlook and if you see an option to refresh the view - use it.
- Clear IE's cache and cookies.
- Close Outlook, go to https://todoist.com directly through IE and if you're not logged in there, log in, then open Outlook and see if you'll be logged in there as well. If you were logged in, do the opposite - log out and then open Outlook to see if the login page is displayed there.

Hi David,

First - thanks for your help - I really appreciate it.

It is now working again - not sure what the trick was but I am on a plane, and on their WIFI and everything opened and works.

If it craps out again I will let you know but as of right now the uninstall and reinstall through IE etc now is working.
