Todoist and outlook
I have added todoist to my outlook but often there is is just a blank space with a 'Todoist' label. ie no tasks shown. Sometimes they are there. I have tried removing and downloading the add- on but this only solves the problem temporarily
Please tell me:
- Is there any pattern to when your tasks are visible and when they are not? For example - is there any other software running when this happens (a firewall, an anti-virus program, Internet Explorer)?
- What version of Outlook are you using?
- What version of Windows are you using?
- Do you have the latest version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer (our plugin always uses IE to connect)?
Outlook is form Office Professional 2013
Explorer is version 10
Not aware of anything running. My laptop is a school (am a teacher) and am using network, if that makes a difference?
It has worked fine at times, just not at other times. As I said earlier it works when I reinstall. Should I try deleting all Todoist downloads - I seem to have few in the downloads file in windows?
The amount of downloaded installer files of Todoist isn't a problem as the Outlook plugin installs itself and doesn't use the file you've downloaded afterwards.
Regarding the issue - unfortunately, in order to be sure what's causing it, we would need to know under what circumstances it occurs. If there's a certain pattern in when it works and when it doesn't, please let us know.
Please note that the plugin requires an internet connection when you log in and then loads Todoist using an Internet Explorer frame within Outlook. Depending on the amount of tasks on your account, it may take a while (but no longer than 30 seconds) to load it. Also, certain network configurations (firewalls, proxies) may also influence its connectivity.
We're sorry that we can't offer you a better answer, if you'll see a pattern in this behavior and the data won't load only at specific times, for example - always after you log out or always after you stay logged in or any other situation that can be reproduced, please let us know.
