How can I sort my Today task view by priority, or another option? Do not want to enter a time for each.

Hello Thom,

By default, the Today list is automatically sorted by time, then priority, then grouped by project. Unfortunately, there is currently an issue in Todoist which may affect the priority sorting. We're working on it right now and hope to fix it permanently soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hello Thom,

This issue should now be solved. Please try to log out and back into Todoist and try to reproduce this issue and let us know if it persists.

Best regards,
David

David,

OK, I logged of and back on, and don't see any difference. Is there a setting or something I need to do?

Thom,

Please add a couple of tasks with different priorities all with the same due date and then search for this particular date and let me know if they're sorted incorrectly.

David,

If I have time I will this afternoon. But not sure how to search for a particular due date since I never do that. Right now I have 17 tasks today Feb 22, and it's not working?

Thom,

We would appreciate if you could perform the test. To search for a particular due date, you can simply type it into the search box. Just as you type "today" or "overdue" or "20 days", you can type "28 August 2015" and tasks for this particular day will be displayed.

David

David,

This worked. but what does this mean going forward, and all the tasks I currently have entered?

Thom,

Please tell me :
- Did you clear your browser's cache or Todoist's offline data (in most browsers, this data isn't removed upon clearing the cache and must be deleted manually)?
- Did you ever reorder any tasks on your "today" list or in any other date view (this would cause the order of tasks to be remembered and the priority sorting changed)?

Best regards,
David

David,

- I really don't know what you mean about clearing the browser's cache or Todoist's offline data?
- Don't even know how I would reorder the tasks in my "today" list.

Thom,

Please let me know what browser you're using and I will assist you with removing Todoist's offline data.

Tasks can be reordered by using the drag & drop feature as shown on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhumUr8kY6I

David,

I watched the video, and I do drag and drop, but did not know I could drag and drop from one date to another, to a different project, thank you.

I use Microsoft Explorer and Chrome. But for Todoist have been using Chrome more, as I find it works better with Todoist.

Thank you,

Thom

Thom,

To clear all Todoist's cache and offline data, please go to Chrome's Settings -> Show Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data. Here, you'll find a list with all sites and apps that stored any data in your browser. You can use the search field in the top-right corner to search for "todoist" and when you find it, use the small X icon on the right site to remove it from the list.

You can then reload your browser, go to https://todoist.com and after you log in, all data will be loaded again which should fix any issues which could be either caused by a corrupt cache or in case if the browser won't recognize a fix on our end and read your data from the old cache.

Best regards,
David

David,

OK, I did that, and my today list of tasks is still as it was. I will just re-arrange them manually for now.

Thanks for all your help.

By the way, in working with my tasks for today, when I am changing the priority, is is moving them to the right place, so it is working fine now.

Again, thank you for all your help,

All the best,

Thom

Further to my comments from yesterday, I dragged tasks that were still open yesterday, down to today. The tasks did not resort according to priority, Logged out, and back in, with the same results.

Thom,

Please tell me, did you drag & drop the tasks to the "Postpone to tomorrow" box or did you drag & drop them to the "today" section on the list (in which case they must be dragged & dropped to the correct spots manually and they won't automatically resort themselves after you refresh the page - the order you put them in will be remembered)?

Best regards,
David

David,

I think I dragged @ dropped them into the today section.

OK, I understand.

Thank you,

Thom
