SMS in chinese cannot presents, we usually find the text below:Reminder:, (nest action). and we know nothing about what is in the to do list.
Hello Stewart,Please tell me - are you using Chinese characters within the task names? Could you please try to set a test task with Latin letters, set an SMS reminder to it and let me know if you'll see the content of the task within this reminder? Also, if you're using an Android phone or an iOS device, you could receive push notifications instead when using the Todoist app.Best regards,David
David,I've tried, Latin letters can present, but not the Chinese characters.I am a chinese user and using my blackberry browser instead of the app, you know we don't have an app on bb.Thank youBest regards,Stewart
Stewart,Thank you for the clarification, I will pass it to our developers and we'll look into it if it's possible to support Chinese characters through our SMS service. For now, as a workaround, you could try to select "Email reminders" as the default way of receiving notifications and use the email address you're using with Todoist on your Blackberry. This way, each time you receive a reminder, you will be notified that you've got an email.Best regards,David
Thank you. Get us informed if you can support Chinese characters.
Hello Stewart,We've contacted our SMS provider and unfortunately, Chinese characters will not be supported as this is a limitation on their end (by the SMS provider). We're sorry for the inconvenience.Best regards,David
David, that 's ok. Thanks for you help.
It seems still can't support sms to China user?? I also tried but failed. It's not convenient.
Hello Hivar,Please try to type in your phone number in this format incl. your country code: +123456789 no dashes or spaces, then set your provider/location to "International, not on the list" and from the "Number to send from" drop-down menu pick one of the Canadian numbers and you should be able to receive SMS reminders.Unfortunately, if you use Chinese characters within your task names, they won't be displayed within the SMS. It's a limitation from our SMS provider. Sorry for the inconvenience.Best regards,David
