emails in Outlook to tasks
I have downloaded Outlook app but still can not add email as tasks
Please try to follow these steps and let me know at which point you're experiencing an issue:
1. Highlight an email ("select" it)
2. Click on "Show projects" in the Todoist plugin pane
3. Choose a project
4. Scroll down until you see "Add task" and "Add email as tasks"
5. Click on "Add email as tasks" and save it.
I have 'Add Website as task" but not "Add email as tasks" . Any thoughts?
Please tell me - have you tried selecting a different message? It may work after the second selection. Also, are you using any other plugins in Outlook that may in any way affect the display or storage of messages?
I have tired selecting other messages to no avail. I talked briefly to my IT person and they are wondering if it is because I am still on Outlook 2003? No other plug ins that I know of...Should there be a side bar in Outlook like there is in FireFox? My Outlook does not look any different after the installation of the plug in

Yes, our plugin opens a sidebar on the right side, but unfortunately, it requires Outlook 2007 or later, it won't work with Outlook 2003.
As an alternative, to manage your emails with Todoist, you could try to forward the messages to your Todoist projects. The subject of the message would become the task name and the entire content of it - a task note. To find detailed information about this feature and the unique email address for your projects, please right-click on a project and choose "Email tasks to this project" from the menu.
Thanks for your help. Forwarding is not as slick but better than nothing. I am scheduled for a new computer this spring.
