Cant successfully install Todoist to Outlook

DW

I am using Outlook 2007 (12.0.6665.5003) . I have followed other posts about adding/removing programs without success. Each time I download the file goes to temp file. I cut/paste to the program files and try to install. This is the error I am getting now.

Hello Denise,

Please go to your system's Control Panes -> Add/Remove Programs (or "Programs and Features") and check if you can see OutlookTodoist listed there. If you do - uninstall it, if not:
- Download the installer file and save it to your hard drive (don't open it directly)
- Install the following software: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=9cfb2d51-5ff4-4491-b0e5-b386f32c0992 ) and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=06c32242-2289-4471-93aa-ce96aa5cbc36 )
- After you've installed it, right-click on the Todoist for Outlook installer and chose "Run as Administrator"

Please let me know if this helps, If not, please tell me:
- Are you the administrator of the computer you're using?
- What version of Windows are you using?

Best regards,
David

Thank you. I did have trouble downloading MS Visual Studio 2010 Tools as that link didn't work. Eventually found what I needed.
Also there was a glitch when I right clicked to install, I had to unchecked a box about unauthorized programs. But now it seems to work in Outlook successfully.
Have a good one and thanks again.

Hello,

I accidentally deleted the todoist outlook add-in and I can't find it or reinstall it. The add-in does not show in my add/remove programs and when i try to run the installer again it says, "the latest version of this customization is already installed" . Please help!

Hello Melissa,

Please clarify - how did you delete it? Did you uninstall it in Outlook's Add-Ins menu or deleted the files associated with the plugin manually?

Please note that in Add/Remove Programs it's listed as "OutlookTodoist", try to find it there under this name. If it's there, go to Outlook's Options -> Add-Ins -> click "Go" next to COM Add-Ins at the bottom and check the box next to "OutlookTodoist" on this list.

Best regards,
David
