Emails with Date not processing correctly after a certain hour

Hello David/team,

I'm sending emails to a Todoist project with dates in them, something of the format <date today @ xxx> (with xxx is an hour, usually about 1-2 hrs in the future from the email date). For emails sent in the morning or afternoon, this looks fine. However, for emails sent after a certain time of day, e.g. 8pm with a due date at 10pm, Todoist is processing them incorrectly and adding them with a due date of Tomorrow at 10pm.

I'm guessing there's a timezone bug here, where the date for "today" is being processed for the next day (say, based on UTC rather than EST, or something similar).

Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Shiri,

Thank you very much for your report, there is indeed a bug with the timezone handling and the times are being processed as UTC and therefore the due day may change when adding a task due tomorrow while it's already the next day in UTC.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on a fix right now.

Is it the same bug that I'm in EST and I email test 2 <date mar 25> It's setting the due date as the 26th?

Hello Mike,

This issue should be fixed now, but please tell me - when exactly did you sent out this test email? Could you try once again, but this time use <date mar 25 at 2pm> and let me know if the time of the task changes and if so - how much?

I emailed the task and got Mar 25 @ 3:00pm in todoist.

Mike,

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce this issue. Since the time shift seems to be 1 hour off, please make sure that you have the same time zone set in Todoist's Settings as well as on your computer.
