I upgraded awhile ago, and have been meaning to watch the video & learn about the features that I'm not currently using. The video shows 'Preferences' where you can schedule a text message or e-mail reminder, but I don't see that same page within my display. Some of the things shown seem to be available only when you're using it within Gmail. I am making a slow transition to Gmail, but have not migrated Todoist into this yet - I'm just not ready for a headache & worry that it will become complicated.

To access the Preferences (or now - Settings) click on the gear icon in the top-right corner. Once you're there, you can follow the instructions in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGPMzZRR1Kc This video shows how to set up email or SMS reminders.
The other feature you're referring to is the "Add email as task" feature. To use it, you need one of our plugins. This video shows how to use it with our Chrome plugin and GMail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfslbgUv4F4
The same feature can be used with our Outlook or Thunderbird plugins.
If instead of linking email messages as tasks, you would prefer to simply forward them to your Todoist projects, you can find detailed written instruction about how this feature works by entering one of your projects, clicking on the "Task Actions" gear icon at the top of the list (the one in the project name header) and choose "Email tasks to this project".
