Recurring tasks don't recur. Why?

RK

None of my recurring tasks recur after the first date. I type "every day" in the date box. The tasks have the little circular arrow sign next to them. But they never recur! Would like some help.

Hello Robert,

Please clarify - you're using the full Todoist web-app, add a date set to "every day" and then when you check the task off its due date is not being pushed to the next instance? If so - please tell me, what happens exactly when you check it off? Does the task disappear from your list? What browser are you using?

Best regards,
David

Thanks for responding. I use todoist.com, both on chrome and IE. I create a task and set it to repeat every day. It appears on my to do list for the day on which I create it, and it shows the little repeating symbol next to it. But it never appears on subsequent days.

Regarding your question: "when you check the task off..." I haven't done that. I just tried it for a recurring task that i set up several days ago, and I see it bounced to tomorrow. Is this the answer then? That you have to check it each day to have it move to the next day?

Robert,

Yes, a recurring task is not listed for all days that it will recur on, but only on the next instance, so for example - if you would set a task to "every day" right now and view your "7 days" list, it will only show up under "today". If you don't check it off, it will only show under "yesterday" and if you check it off - then it will move to "tomorrow".

Best regards,
David
