Possible bug in recurring tasks causes tasks to recur in past
First of all, I'm liking the service. There are a few things that I'm really missing or needing or just haven't figured out yet, so you might see more action from me in this forum and the vote box.
That being said, I think I have found a bug with recurring tasks (and a small complaint).
Steps to reproduce:
1) add task without due date
2) add recurring after 1 week subtask with due date
3) complete PARENT task
4) uncomplete parent task; child tasks are still completed
5) uncomplete child tasks
6) child tasks are now due a week AGO instead of a week FORWARD
#4: Small complaint - I believe this is expected behavior, but personally it makes more sense that if the child tasks were completed by completing the parent task, and not individually, uncompleting the parent task should also uncomplete the child tasks.
#6: Possible bug - I don't think in any scenario recurring tasks should appear in the past.

Is #4 in my scenario above a bug or is that intended behavior?
The fact that parent tasks are still completed is expected behavior. If you want to retrieve the parent task, you may want to do so just because of a small part of it that still needs to be done in which case it's easier to un-check the one related sub-task than check all other ones off and just leave one unchecked.
We understand that of course in other cases it may be more convenient to have all sub-tasks uncompleted, but we've chosen this approach right now.
Also, please note that it's possible to make any sub-task go to the completed list outside of its original hierarchy by holding the Shift key while checking it off. This will also allow you to retrieve single tasks.
