The ToDoist Outlook plugin doesn't work at all!
After having installed the PlugIn it doesn't appear in any place:
- not in Outlook's Options
- not in my system's Add/Remove Programs settings
If I try to reinstall the plugin, I get the message that it is already installed. If I try to uninstall the plugin, I cannot find it anywhere!
This sucks so much - what can I do?
I use Windows 8 and Outlook 2010.
Please go to Outlook's Options -> Add-ons, then click "Go" next to the "COM Add-Ins" drop-down menu and if you can see OutlookTodoist on this list, check the box next to it.
Also, please tell me:
- Were you looking for "OutlookTodoist" in the Add/Remove Programs settings?
- Are you the only user on your computer with full administrative rights?

As I already said, OutlookTodoist doesn't show up anywhere! Also when I click "Go" next to the "COM Add-Ins" drop-down menu - no Outlook Todoist can be found!

Your second question - I can't understand. OutlookTodoist is not listed in Windows System Control -> Add/Remove Programs...
By the way - I use the 64 Bit Version of Outlook...
Unfortunately, we're not sure if the plugin will work correctly on Windows 8, but to make sure that it's not an installation issue, could you please access your registry (regedit) and search for any entries containing "OutlookTodoist"?

If there is no such key in the registry, then the plugin shouldn't return a message that it's already installed. Unfortunately, we're not sure what's the source of this issue.
You could also try to search for OutlookTodoist in the files on your hard drive and delete them if you find any, then reload the plugin, save it locally and run it by right-clicking on it and choosing "Run as Administrator".
think there is a clear misunderstanding - the ToDoist is not installed as a Program. I think you have to active the Add-In within Outlook !
It's Extas -> Trustcenter (I am not sure, I am using the German version, there it is "Vetrauensstellungsscenter") -> Add-In.
There it should be listed if installed correctly. I guess your secruity settings are blocking toDoist...
I am running windows 8 and I installed todoist for outlook 2010. The program was sooo buggy that I had to uninstall it. Any imminent plans to release an update that will work on Windows 8?
