How can I filter by label in the mobile view?
If I use the old mobile site at http://todoist.com/mold, I can enter "@" followed by the label name into the Date Query field and it returns a list of tasks matching that label. However, I don't see how to do this in the current mobile site at http://todoist.com/m.
label filtering is indeed not supported in the mobile site right now, but we're right before the release of our official native Android and iOS apps which will not only allow you to label by filter, but add and store other custom filters and many other features from the web-app.
You can see the first screenshots from the new apps here: https://plus.google.com/b/106827182652048588353/106827182652048588353/posts/Hh9u8Sg7xnh and they will be released this month.
That would be a viable solution if my mobile device were running iOS or Android, but it is not. Why were arbitrary filter queries removed from an otherwise very functional mobile web site? I could use the old mobile site for that, but it is my understanding that the /mold site is no longer supported or maintained and could stop working any day without notice.
We're sorry for the inconvenience. The mobile site has been introduces as an alternative solution for the meantime before we've started developing our mobile apps, but we may update it in the future.
Also, we will certainly release more apps in the future. We would appreciate if you could let us know what device you're using (what system).
The /mold site is indeed no longer supported. For now, as a workaround, you could try to access the full web-app through your mobile browser and see if it's possible to use its query. In order to do so, go to the /m site, log out and at the bottom you'll see a link that you can use to force a connection to the full app (by default you would get redirected to /m if you would try to go to todoist.com through a mobile browser).
I am using a BlackBerry Bold 9930 on Verizon with BB OS 7.1 Bundle 1737.
I can indeed use the full site on this device via the workaround you described without any technical problem, but all the panning and zooming is just not aesthetically ideal. Labels appear to be the best way to filter tasks by context and without the ability to do that easily, I'm not going to get much done when mobile, but the workaround will suffice for now.
You seem to have the daunting task of moderating and answering all of these question threads singlehandedly over a long workday and I do appreciate your efforts and your incredibly quick response time. I have tried out several task managers lately and Todoist is definitely the most conducive to my methods; I just don't know if its use will be feasible with the 80/150 item limit.
