MAC Version on laptop
I run the app for the mac version. Seems like there are alot of issues like can't access support (have to log onto the web) and the system crashes when you try to print. Is this common?
we haven't had any reports regarding these issues. The Mac app may be improved in the future and we will fix any bugs in the future revisions, but for now, you're welcome to access Todoist through the web-app which offers the exact same functionality as the stand-alone app (which also connects to the Todoist web-app, but in its own window), but you shouldn't experience any issues while using it.
If these issues would persist in the web-app, though, please let us know along with the following information:
- Which browser were you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in at least 1 different browser?
Using the web app that was downloaded from your site. Still not working.
Not always connected to internet so ToDoist is taking itself out of the picture.
our web-app can be used just by going to https://todoist.com and if you go through https://todoist.com/app?v=67 you can access it while being offline thanks to our new HTML5 technology and offline storage. Please note that the version number (v=67) will change in the future as we release further updates. If you go just through https://todoist.com and then disconnect, you can still use the app in your browser.
Also, our mobile site http://todoist.com/m as well as the upcoming mobile apps can all be accessed offline.
I just want to say that I have the same problems as Steve.
Before I was using the web based app and the iphone app and I was thrilled to see that a mac app was release! Started using it right away. It's not that there is a lot of bug, but the ones that are happening are pretty frustrating. And I'm sad because I really prefer using a mac app then having it in a browser window. It's more efficient that way!
Here are the consistent problems I meet:
- if my computer goes to sleep mode while the app is open, when I come back to my computer I cannot open de Todoist window. I have to close and re-open. this situation also occurs when it's been a while I am working on my computer without opening the Todoist window.
- when I scroll down it always broke the layout, like always.
- cannot open the support window from the app
All of this said, I really like your app and keep up the good work and hopefully in a couple of weeks those problems will be solved.

Please note that as an alternative, you could try to use our browser plugins that can also be opened in a mini-window by using the icon in the bottom-right corner next to the "Logout" link. Such mini-version could not only be used efficiently, but would also provide additional functionality - adding emails as tasks and adding websites as tasks.
We've released a new version of our Mac app with bug fixes and new features such as quick task adding. Please install the latest version from http://todoist.com/mac and let us know if it fixes any issues you've been experiencing with the old version.
