I have cleaned out browsing history, cache & cookies from IE and Google Chrome and it's still not syncing. Help!

Thanks.

Hello Jaimie,

please go to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, find todoist.com on this list and remove it. Reload the browser and see if this solves the issue, if not try to click Ctrl+Shift+N which will open an "Incognito Window", access Todoist.com through there and let me know if it helps.

If not - please tell me:
- Which versions of the browsers are you using?
- Are you accessing Todoist directly through this address: https://todoist.com (make sure that you don't have a bookmark pointing to a different address)?
- What happens exactly? Please describe in detail - you open your browser, type in https://todoist.com and what happens next - can you see your tasks, can you add a task etc.?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I tried all that you suggested ... but all the changes I made today are not showing anymore.

I actually access ToDoIst through my Outlook.
Google Chrome Version 21.0.1180.89 m
Internet Explorer Version 8 - I can't upgrade to 9 as it doesn't work with my database (Act).

Jaimie,

please clarify - you've accessed Todoist through Outlook, logged in to your account, then made some changes while you were online (there was no small triangle icon in the upper-right corner), you didn't see any error messages and no popus saying that you're in offline mode and then, when you've accessed the same Todoist account through Chrome or IE, anything you've done in Outlook hasn't been saved?

If so, please tell me:
- What exact changes have you made? Did you add tasks, projects etc.?
- Can you reproducet his issue right now by accessing Chrome, adding a task, then opening IE and checking if the task has been added?

Best regards,
David

CORRECT! However, over the last several weeks the triangle has been showing up quite frequently telling me the sync is not working

I REMOVED LOTS OF TASKS AND PROJECTS

YES, I DID WHAT YOU SUGGESTED AND IT DID SHOW UP IN IE

Jaimie,

we're sorry for the inconvenience, but so far we weren't able to reproduce this issue. If you see the triangle in the upper-right corner indicating that you're offline in the future, please click on it to force a sync especially before you close Outlook.

If the issue persists, please let us know. Also, if you're using Windows 7, it's recommended to upgrade Internet Explorer to version 9. Our Outlook plugin always uses IE to connect to Todoist and such issues could theoretically be caused by IE8.

Best regards,
David
