Query sort and print

I have two projects. I want to sort and then print only one project chronologically by the four labels I've assigned within the project.

Sort Step Example:
First select out project
Second sort selected project by 4 labels within selected project
Third sort by date within each of the 4 labels for selected project
Fourth print

Trying to replicate a valuable feature of outlook. This capability will determine if I continue to use Todolist.

Hello Cameron,

this option is available, however, not automatically (at least not for labels).

Once you access the project, you can use the "s" key or the "Sort by date" option from the gear icon menu at the top to sort your tasks by date. Then you can manually reorder them using the drag & drop feature (to do so, hover over a task and "grab" it by the handle icon on its left side).

Once you've reordered your tasks, you can print this view using the print icon in the top-right corner.

Best regards,

Hi David,

I'm not understanding your response. The primary sort is by label. If I begin with the "Sort by date" field my task items are first sorted by date.

How can I first select the project, then sort by label, and then by date?

Many thanks

unfortunately, that's not possible. Sorting by label is not available at Todoist. Even if you manually reorder your tasks by label using drag & drop, if you choose "Sort by date" from the drop-down menu in the upper-right gear icon, all tasks will reorder automatically by date (regardless of their label name).

We may consider adding a "sort by label" option in the future, though. You're welcome to add a request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/
