150 tasks pr. project.

I cannot add task any more, that's the message that's viewed: "For performance reasons you can only add 150 tasks pr. project. Please split your tasks in multiple projects."

I don't have any project with more than 150 tasks.

Beside the fact that is a strange limit, mostly if I have a premium account.

Is it a bug? Do you have any suggest?

Hello Rosario,

unfortunately, for technical reasons, we've had to set a limitation to the amount of tasks you can have on a Todoist account. The current limit still allows you to have 12,000 active tasks (150 tasks in 80 projects) and completed tasks as well as archived projects don't count towards the total.

Please tell me - are you sure that there are less than 150 tasks listed in the project you want to add a task into (checked off sub-tasks which stay on the list will count as well unless they're moved to history)? If so, please try to log out, clear your browser's cache and offline storage data, reload the browser and log back in and let me know if the issue persists.

If it does, please tell me - which browser are you using and can you reproduce this issue in at least 1 different browser?

Hi David,

before to delete cache, log out, change browser and so on, do you confirm me that the number viewed beside of each project is the total number of tasks?

If so, I have a project with 140 taks, another with 76, and so on. All other projects have less than that.

Rosario,

the number next to the project name should be the number of all tasks within this project, but if there are checked-off sub-tasks, the won't count towards this number, but will towards the total limit (as long as they aren't moved to the history).

However, it's possible that this number might be incorrect due to a glitch and therefore it's highly recommended to clear the cache anyway. Please note that it's just the cache and offline storage data that need to be cleared. Not your cookies or any other web history of visited sites etc.

How about an opt-out button that individuals can use to override this? If there are only a few of us affected by this it seems that should not impact overall performance.
